Papanack Zoo.

For those of you who didn’t know there was a zoo less than 45 minutes from Ottawa here is the Papanack Park Zoo for you.

We had a field trip Thursday September 3rd, 2009 to entertain my girlfriend’s 4 year old son and to my surprise it turned out a great success.  Although the Zoo is not as photographer friendly as I would have hoped for I was still able to get some decent pictures.  Unlike most Zoos where the visibility to the animals is unhindered, the animals at  Papanack Park Zoo are mostly all in chain link enclosures which to us photographers is a challenge to get some nice looking pictures.

For a family owned business I commend the effort to make this an attraction in the region.
