Picture of the day
Our front yard landscaping is a project forthcoming and we needed a little colour until we can hire a professional landscaper. This year my girlfriend wanted to create a small project for her son so that he could experience how things grow and also to experience the rewards of having grown a flower on his own. Early in the spring they seeded a few sunflower seeds and when it was warm enough transferred the seedlings to our front sandbox.
The sunflower in this picture became majestic, growing well over 10 feet. Now for a 4 year old this is a really impressive acheivement to be able to take the credit of having grown such a big flower. Although this is not one of my best pictures as it was taken during mid-day light, I still felt the need to share this summer’s adventure of Zak and the Sunflower-stalk.

Working on getting this site up trying new plugins. Wrapping my head around the designing of this site is a nightmare but I’m slowly getting there. Here’s a little slideshow of some summer pictures I shot.
